We're dedicated to making sure that every move is better than the last. **About the Role:** We are seeking an experienced **Senior Software Engineer** to take a key role in designing, building, and managing our cloud-based solutions. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of multi-cloud solutions supporting reporting, automation, and low-code tooling. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements, technical teams to define and break down complex system requests, champion best practices, and build out solutions that will take our company to the next level of technical enablement. **Responsibilities** : **Solution Development and Maintenance:** + Develop scalable and secure cloud and software architectures to support business requirements and data flows. + Implement integration strategies using Snowflake, AWS GovCloud, and other FedRAMP approved tools to solution. + Develop and deploy secure applications and any other service level tooling needed to support the Data Platform. + Integrate data from multiple sources such as Snowflake, SQL Server, Excel, and APIs into a multi-cloud environment. + Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including design specifications, technical guides, and data dictionaries. + Implement, and manage connectors, integrations, and data models. **Requirements Gathering and Stakeholder Engagement:** + Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and decision-makers to gather requirements and ensure the delivery of relevant and actionable systems. + Translate business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring alignment with the company's data and cloud strategy. **Performance Optimization:** + Identify and implement strategies to optimize the performance of internal systems, including improving load times and optimizing query execution. **Data Governance and Security:** + Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies, including user access control, data privacy, and sensitive data handling. + Collaborate with IT and data teams to implement secure and scalable data solutions within a multi-cloud infrastructure. **Continuous Improvement:** + Stay current with cloud technologies and industry trends to continually enhance performance and capabilities. + Recommend and implement enhancements to improve data visualization techniques, tool utilization, and automation efficiency. **Qualification and Skill Requirements:** + **Strong knowledge of cloud-based technologies** and the major providers, including how to connect and share data in a highly secure and eventful way. + Proven experience in optimizing **cloud application performance** and troubleshooting performance-related issues. + Battle tested experience with high-volume eCommerce or like platforms known to process millions or more records weekly. + Experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, and leveraging IaaC. + Experience with **AWS, Terraform, Python, Typescript, Node.js, and React** . + Strong **analytical skills** to interpret data and generate actionable insights. + **Strong communication skills** to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. **Education and Experience:** + Must be a U.S. citizen due to contractual requirements + Bachelor's degree in **Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Intelligence, or a related field** . + **5+ years** of hands-on experience developing cloud-based solutions, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry. + **1+ years** of hands-on experience architecting cloud-based solutions, preferably with multi-cloud experience or with cloud migration experience + Experience working in **agile environments** and leading cross-functional teams. **Preferred Tools/Technologies:** + Terraform, python and node.js + AWS GovCloud, FedRAMP, M365 Gov + Snowflake, SQL Server, and other relevant databases + Git, JIRA, or other project management tools Benefits: + Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance. + Paid time off (PTO) Three weeks of PTO for newly hired employees + 401(k) + Health and Wellness Programs + Disability, Life and AD&D insurance + Employee Support program + Family Support: Bright Horizons, child and elder care services + Teladoc Medical Experts, second opinion program + Travel Accident & Medical + TRICARE Supplement Plan + Voluntary Benefit Plans + And more!
