Your Role as a BCBA

As a BCBA, you’ll lead a team of Registered Behavior Therapists (RBTs) and Behavioral Technicians, delivering exceptional Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services. You’ll oversee clinical programming, provide family guidance, and ensure the highest standards of care, all while living our core values of compassion, collaboration, and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership

  • Mentor and inspire a dedicated team of RBTs and BCBAs, managing a caseload of three clients.
  • Ensure RBTs are supported with adequate breaks and administrative time using flex RBTs.
  • Partner with the Operations Manager to make impactful decisions for center operations.

Clinical Excellence

  • Oversee day-to-day case management, conducting initial and recurring assessments using specialized tools.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each child’s unique needs.
  • Provide 30+ treatment hours per week, including a minimum of 15+ direct treatment hours.
  • Maintain clinical quality through training, compliance, and oversight of behavior support plans.

Family Support

  • Offer consistent guidance to families, ensuring they are informed and empowered.
  • Assist with intakes, discharge planning, and smooth transitions for children on your caseload.

Behavior Support & Training

  • Develop behavior and treatment plans focused on teaching and reducing problematic behaviors.
  • Train and supervise direct support professionals in ABA techniques, including discrete trial training and natural environment training.
  • Provide model teaching, practicum supervision, and in-service instruction to support staff.
  • Maintain accurate session notes using the Set Works platform within 72 hours of each session.

Collaboration & Professional Growth

  • Collaborate with a team of like-minded professionals dedicated to our mission.
  • Stay current with industry research and maintain BCBA certification with 32 CEU credits every two years.
  • Communicate effectively with families, staff, and community agencies to ensure seamless care.

Qualifications

  • Education : Master’s degree in Special Education or a related human services field.
  • Certification : Certified BCBA with a Texas LBA license.
  • Experience :
    • Successful completion of internship or formal training in behavior analysis and instructional strategies for clients with pervasive developmental disorders.
    • Proficiency in Discrete Trial Training (DTT) programming and implementation.
    • Experience working with families, conducting meetings, and providing family training.
  • Skills :
    • Strong behavior management, instructional, and organizational skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and office equipment (fax, phone systems).
    • Ability to work with diverse clients across ages and functionality levels with minimal direction.
  • Requirements :
    • Flexible availability (Monday–Friday, 9–5, 8–4).
    • Current CPR certification and required trainings/certifications.
    • Reliable, insured transportation in Texas with driver’s insurance on file.
    • Ability to respond promptly to phone calls, texts, and emails.
    • Team player with a positive attitude.
