Join our client as a Bioinformatics Analyst and be part of a dynamic team at the forefront of genomics research!_ ****This job is remote working in PST zone**** **Pay rate:** $40/ hr.- $50/ hr. **Location:** Remote but must be able to work in PST time zone **Job Type:** 6-month contract **Key Responsibilities:** + Process & analyze high-throughput sequencing data from various platforms + Test bioinformatics software, pipelines and workflows with different parameterizations and compare results + Package bioinformatics software, pipelines and workflows for distribution through Bioconda and container repositories + Write CI/CD Github Actions tasks for automated unit test running, compile time benchmarking, performance regression checking + Develop frontend data visualization components for proteomics and multiome data + Prepare bioinformatics data web apps (made with Dash, Shiny, Streamlit) for deployment on product **Qualifications:** + Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Bioinfomatics, Computational Biology or related field+ 2 years of Biotech/Academia/Research experience + Proficient in a GNU/Linux command line interface and Python, Javascript + Experience with High Performance Computing Clusters (HPC) and job schedulers + Experience with bioinformatics workflow management frameworks (snakemake, nextflow) + CI/CD experience + Experience with front end development Nice to Haves: + Experience with JS frameworks: React, Next.js, Node.js, d3.js, tailwind + Experience with AnnData format + Experience with variant cell format (VCF) INDBH \#LI-DNP We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
