The Hilton Garden Inn is looking for an Accounting Clerk to join our team. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Responsibilities: Supports the accounting function at the hotel, including the accounts payable/accounts receivable processes by ensuring that billing, invoices, and credit card statements are handled according to company policies and procedures. Ensure that deposits balance and all money is accounted for. Supplies money for all department banks and tills. Issuing banks and change requests. Bill and collect all revenue owed to the hotel in an accurate, timely manner in accordance with accounting policies and procedures Prepare daily reports. Assist with customer billing and credit card issues including research or obtaining information regarding accounts, cash transactions, or bank accounts. May also be involved in other accounting-related functions as assigned. Experience within a hotel environment and with Hilton systems a plus, including OnQ and Delphi. (Front Desk, Night Audit). Sound communication skills. Interacts with internal and external customers in a positive, professional, and accommodating manner. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to lift a reasonable weight up to 20 pounds and is able to work on weekends when required.
